It was my birthday last week, so I created a special celebration manicure to mark the occasion…

I used some of my favourite polishes and colours – I’m a big fan of glitter to there was plenty of this Models Own Freak Out chunky glitter – it has big irregular shards of turquoise glitter, turqouise bar glitter, with medium hex blue and tiny magenta hex in a clear base.  It took about 3 coats and quite a bit of placement to get full coverage

As you can see I added a balloon – using Nails Inc Baker Street over Illamasqua Scorch with a silver thread in OPI On Her Majesty’s Secret Service.  For my thumb I painted a base coat in Essie Turquoise & Caicos (two coats) with a silver ribbon using OPI OHMSS again. I love this shimmery pewter-silver polish so I think I’m going to find some more designs to make the most of it.

I added a coat (or two on the thirsty glitter) of Seche Vite and I was all ready for partying!
