This is my entry for the Bon Prix #PartyPolished blogger competition. It’s being run in participation with Barry M.

The challenge was to create a nail art design based on a dress from the brand’s partywear collection.

I chose the Luxe Sequin Shift Dress (out of stock) in blue floral. It’s definitely something I’d pick to wear to a party!

Polishes and Tools:

Barry M Black
AEngland Queen of Scots
2true Athena
MoYou London Pro XL 06
Creative Shop Stamper from Rainbow Connection

I started with a black base from trusty Barry M – two coats. I created the gradient stamp by using the darker blue polish at the edges of the design and the lighter in the centre. Scraping over a few times blends the colours.

The metallic polishes stand out beautifully against the black with a glossy top coat. I thought about adding a matte effect, but I really like this finish. The gradient is subtle but I’m really happy with how the finished design looks.

There’s no sequins or glitter involved, but I love how this #PartyPolished look turned out – quick and easy, and a perfect match for the shift dress.
