It’s Christmas Sweater Nails to go with my Christmas Jumper – I have a lovely sparkly Fair Isle style one with penguins I’ve been wearing a lot this week.

I’m quite proud of my stamping, getting it straight and centred is always a challenge for me. I think it turned out pretty well and I only had to redo a couple of nails.

This is a quick swatch shot of Sweater Weather on it’s own – it is so pretty!! I wasn’t originally intending for this to be a photo on its own, and I grabbed a random Models Own bottle to hold…also gorgeous, though I’m not sure if the polish matches up to the outside. It is Models Own Chrome Pearl by the way!

I found that Sweater Weather was quite sheer on the first coat, but covered up much better from the second coat. I ended up using three since I hate a Visible Nail Line and topping it with Seche Vite before stamping.

I do prefer using topcoat before stamping for a smooth, firm base, but it is also quite forgiving for any mistakes.  I use a lint roller to clean my stamping head between nails, and rolling it over a freshly stamped nail will remove the design. With top coat, a quick swipe of remover only takes away the stamped design and not the base colour.

I am really happy with this design, although I wish more of the base polish with its holographic sparkles was visible through the stamping.  My camera loves that polish too, it only wanted to focus on the bottle and not my nails!  This design is the perfect accessory to a Christmas Jumper Day.
