I made the most of Cirque’s anniversary sale recently, and invested in a few polishes I’d been lusting after. Cirque Hustle is one of those, and I have a little nail art after the swatch.

I have a thing for these chartreuse, slightly muddy looking, yellow-greens. I bought two of Maybelline’s Pow Green as a result (note to self: update the spreadsheet!).

This is three coats of Hustle. It probably only needs two, but I wanted to show its full potential.

I don’t think my photos are 100% colour accurate. In normal UK daylight it is closer to a mustardy tone than nearly neon like the photos show. But I would also say that it dries ever so slightly darker than the bottle.

Of course, it also has that subtle lavender scent that Cirque polishes are famous for. The scent definitely hangs around on me for a few days.

After my base colour and a layer of top coat was set, I applied the vinyls. Make sure your base is set hard before you start or you’ll risk pulling it up later.

Camelot is beautifully opaque so it only takes one coat to cover. I pull my vinyls off straight away for a clean line.

Once your design has dried a bit, go ahead and apply top coat. I use Seche Vite because I find it the best for not smearing or streaking nail art, and of course it dries and sets unbelievably fast.

I hope you like this! It’s a bit of a love/hate colour I think. Would you wear it?
