The next swatch I have for you from the Christmas collection is Chanel Hyperrose Glass 544, and ‘glass’ is definitely the right name for it! This is a beautiful blue-toned pink, but it’s incredibly sheer. Keep reading to see how I got on with it…

Although that colour is lovely, bear in mind this was at least four coats plus topcoat.  I ended up scrapping the other hand, because I knocked it and the polish was still so wet it was ruined.  And even after four plus coats, Visible Nail Line is still there. I hate VNL.

One good thing about it, is that you get that Dior Nail Glow effect.  One coat is pretty much invisible, but it makes the white of your free edge look whiter, and helps to counteract any yellowing. So there’s that…

If you are onboard with the pink theme from Chanel, I’d recommend Pink Rubber over this one. Who would have thought I’d be promoting a nude shade!

I have yet to try this over other colours; it might add a bit of a pink tint, but I’m not sure how much. It’s definitely more blue-toned, but you could make your own version by topping up a two-thirds gone pink creme with a clear polish to the same effect.

I don’ think I’ve got the patience for applying this polish until it’s opaque enough for me.  It’s a pretty pink, and the blue undertones give it an edge over your standard Barbie pink, but it’s not the standout from the collection I thought it would be.

So. be honest and tell me what you think! Do you love the colour, not mind the sheer finish, and can’t wait to try it? Or will you give this one a miss altogether? Perhaps you can’t do without a red for Christmas? I want to know!

Next I’m trying Liquid Mirror – head over to see if this is a polish worth investing in!
