Ages ago (this post has been sat in draft for way too long) I created this maniswap for the circle.  The colour prompt was grey and silver, and I chose this chevron design from sweetnailsbycandi. The pale grey and holo silver stamping created this chic and speedy design.  I always fall back on triangles and chevrons , they just call to me somehow…  On to my Chevron nail art

Clear Jelly Stamper The Big Bling and Bling Brush

This is another super quick design if you are confident stamping.  I found that using the clear stamper is the only way i can manage to get this design straight on my nails. If you are struggling (I blame my curvy nails) then do try a soft, squishy clear stamper like this one.

I started with two coats of Faded.  It’s a light, soft, dove grey, and has to be one of my all time favourites. It’s really sad that they stopped making and trading, but I managed to snag a couple of bottles in their final sale.

Next, I added a layer of top coat.  I always feel more comfortable stamping on the firm base, so I use a quick-dry top coat. My favourite is Seche Vite.

Stamping with Color Club holos is always a dream.  They pick up perfectly very time and look fabulous.  I didn’t use a latex shield since I don’t mind cleaning them up, because they come off easily with a little acetone.

With a final top coat over my stamping, I am finished.

This is such a subtle, classy design.  Maybe I’m biased towards grey polishes, but I think they are so chic as a manicure.  And who doesn’t like a touch of holo?

Back in September (I told you this was an old post!) because they catch the sun, the holographic particles look so beautiful.  At this time of year, spotlights (especially halogen ones) pick up holo the best.
