When you are short on time but still want to look polished, grab one bottle of gorgeous polish and get painting!  I didn’t need to add any embellishments or nail art, so have a look at my AEngland Captive Goddess swatch – with some beautiful macro photos as well.

Captive Goddess is part of the three-polish Rossetti’s Goddess collection, and Adina describes it:

A complex holographic blend of cerulean blue, aquamarine green and muted purple veiled by a silver grey shadow.

I found it has plenty of scattered linear holo sparkle, and shifts between a bright pink-purple and turquoise blue – I think I captured all these elements best with the macro photo of my thumb.

I used two coats, over a base of Nailtiques and topped with Seche Vite.  It was easy enough to work with, although it could drag a little.  If you have tried the Color Club Halo Hues before, the texture and application was very similar.

It was a little patchy after one coat, so I would recommend using two coats.  The finish was smooth, and the top coat gave it a glass like effect.  It dries pretty quickly too.

From distance, it looks like a plain gunmetal grey, but on closer inspection the range of colours is very clear. I really enjoy having this polish on!

I think the blue shift is more obvious at first glance, then the gold, holo, and pink tones show.  But overall, I should wear this polish a lot more often!
