FUN Lacquer 24 Karat Diamond
Nicole by OPI Be Awesome

This is three coats of 24 Karat Diamond which wasn’t as thick as Starrily Ultima, another great silver holo glitter .  I placed the large glitter diamonds using an orange stick and the clear base that Be Awesome has. I topped it all with a coat of Seche Vite top coat.

I had just painted my Creative Shop stamper with two coats of Zoya Chyna, a textured glitter polish. It gives a lot more grip when I’m using the stamper and I can totally recommend doing this if you have one of these smooth, cone-shaped stamper holders. Also: more glitter! But the contrasting colour of the stamper was great to photograph alongside these silver nails.

I’m still on the hunt for the perfect holographic silver glitter polish. This polish was still a bit sheer after three coats, but has a slightly brighter and chunkier glitter than Starrily Ultima which is another favourite. In future I think I will layer Ultima under 24 Karat Diamond for the best of both polishes.  My glitter placement could use some practice – it came out better on my left hand. The diamonds on my little finger on my right hand are particularly crooked.

Overall this is an eye-catching, super bling nail art look!  It also looks fabulous on my squared off nails. Perfect for New Year’s Eve celebrations. I’m looking forward to all the nail art adventures ahead of me in 2016. I should probably set some resolutions like going on a no-buy for a while (like that always works) and trying to use more of my untrieds, but I think I will start with re-organising my stash!
