It’s been a while since I blogged! After I watched the Avengers, I had a chance to perform at the Royal Wedding, which was amazing but totally threw me out …
I’ve been having one of those weeks where I feel a bit blah. I’ve got no energy and I think I might be getting a cold. Do you ever feel like that? This week I revisited some old inspiration to create this Millefiori nail art based on artwork by Fabian Oefner.
This week I’ve got the second of three swatches of Chanel’s Spring 2018 collection. It’s a bright yellow, and if you like sunny colours, you’ll love Chanel Giallo Napoli. I also compare it to my swatch of Chanel Mimosa – it’s the battle of the yellows!
The events in Manchester last week really shocked me. The audience for an Ariana Grande concert are young people and children, their parents, so it felt particularly callous to me. It’s part of my job to react and deal publicly with these sort of things. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not a serving police officer or anything, but I did spend the whole day working on reacting professionally to the bombing, so when I got home all the emotions got to me at once. After my woeful attempt at watermarbling with my pastel neons (you can click on that if you want to feel better about your own skills) I decided that I needed some neon polishes that were suitable for the job. I shopped around, and with the able assistance of my US-based polish mule, I got my digits on the Fun Days and Neon Craze collection from In The Name of Polish. I had to start with a Neon Watermarble Starburst to test them out.
I wanted to make the most of the blacklights I knew I’d be under this weekend, so I brought out the Orly Neon Gradient. These glow beautifully when exposed to UV light! Read More
I made the most of Cirque’s anniversary sale recently, and invested in a few polishes I’d been lusting after. Cirque Hustle is one of those, and I have a little nail art after the swatch. Read More
This is one of my favourite colour combinations and I own far more grey polish than I could ever use. This Yellow and Grey Nail Art gave me the chance to …
