Finally! Two new Chanel Nail Polish Fall 2016 Swatches for you. I picked these up in store last weekend. I’m still on the hunt for Emeraude from last season – can’t believe I missed out on that one.
Chanel 528 Rouge Puissant Le Vernis
This is two coats, plus a top coat. It does have a glossy finish naturally, but it’s heightened here with Seche Vite. Rouge Puissant has a creme finish, no shimmer.
The good news is that it doesn’t stain, even when removing it. Reds sometimes hang around on your cuticles for ages, but not this one. The final colour is a deep, almost oxblood red. It dries a smidge darker than the bottle.
This is a classic red, and it’s a great autumn shade.
Next up, it’s another red, but very different…
Chanel 530 Rouge Radical Le Vernis Nail Gloss
It looks like a true red in the bottle, but it’s very orange-leaning on the nail. Think Chanel Coquelicot rather than Pirate.
This is two coats, over a base of Butter London Nail Foundation. I couldn’t quite face a totally naked nail under this sheer polish.
Can we just acknowledge the horror of Visible Nail Line? 😱
If you liked the formula of Sunrise Trip or Vert Obscur it’s the same, but with a sheerer finish.
It’s an electric shade, but I wouldn’t wear it alone. Maybe over a white base? It would also be good in a syrup manicure, or a glitter jelly sandwich.
Chanel Nail Polish Fall 2016 Swatches
These are two great shades, and I think you will find one perfect for you this autumn. Whether you prefer the classic, rich oxblood shade, or the edgy gloss, both formulas are great to use in a range of designs… Which leads us on to the nail art!
Nail Art using Chanel Fall 2016 Nail Polish
This is a classic Jelly Sandwich design, which is layering white dots in between Rouge Radical coats.
Polishes and tools:
My favourite base coat and top coat
Chanel Rouge Puissant and Rouge Radical
Cirque Carpe Diem
OPI Love. Angel. Music. Baby.
Dotting tools (various sizes)
After two coats of Rouge Puissant I started with a few white dots, and a coat of Rouge Radical. I kept layering up, with a coat of Seche Vite in between once. The last thing I added was a few gold dots of LAMB.
I hope you like this design! It’s part of my latest Maniswap Circle contribution, recreating a dotticure by NailArtbyMJ.
