Today I’m inspired by another semi-precious stone to create this Aventurine Quartz nail art. It’s a jewel that I hadn’t heard of, but I love this picture of it, so read on to find out more!
Welcome to the last of my three swatches from the Spring 2018 Neapolis collection. From Chanel Nuvola Rosa is a soft pink, and it definitely reminds me of strawberry gelato from Italy!
Although there is a fourth shade in this collection, it’s an orange leaning red which I couldn’t bring myself to buy. I have plenty of Chanel reds already! Check out Chanel Gitane – it’s not quite as orange-toned as Arancio Vibrante but it’s a good substitute.
This week I’ve got the second of three swatches of Chanel’s Spring 2018 collection. It’s a bright yellow, and if you like sunny colours, you’ll love Chanel Giallo Napoli. I also compare it to my swatch of Chanel Mimosa – it’s the battle of the yellows!
I’m not normally into pink. It’s not a go-to nail shade for me, and I actively avoid buying pink things! But I like to buck the trend once in a while, like with this Pink Galaxy nail art design. I was inspired by Anikibee’s design on Instagram for this one.
I visited Professional Beauty 2018 in London this week, and I was really happy to find a brand on sale that I haven’t seen in the UK before. Ella + Mila Polish is available in Target in the US, and online, but I found it on sale from a vegan beauty retailer here too! I bought some of their shades, and used two for this easy but effective design of a glitter gradient.
My latest design for Maniswap Circle really takes me back to when I did loads of freehand nail art. This Freehand Flowers and Lines design inspired by Sezies Nails (Sarah) is based on a dress, and was originally created in white, pink and black. I used the Maniswap prompt colours of brown, white and red to create a beautiful Valentine’s Day design.
Over Christmas I was getting really frustrated with breaking off corners and a couple of nails starting to break really low. In a fit of pique, I cut them off really short and this is the result… I needed some nail art to remind me that spring is on the way – this Leaf Print nail art is just the thing!
