Are you a fan of the Marvel superheroes? I went to see the latest film this week. I prefer to leave it a little while after the release – not too long to dodge spoilers. But then I get to sit in luxurious space with no one in front of me! I created some Avengers Infinity War nail art to complement my visit…read on!
I’ve been having one of those weeks where I feel a bit blah. I’ve got no energy and I think I might be getting a cold. Do you ever feel like that? This week I revisited some old inspiration to create this Millefiori nail art based on artwork by Fabian Oefner.
This week I’ve got the second of three swatches of Chanel’s Spring 2018 collection. It’s a bright yellow, and if you like sunny colours, you’ll love Chanel Giallo Napoli. I also compare it to my swatch of Chanel Mimosa – it’s the battle of the yellows!
Now it’s December, we can really bring out the Christmas nail art ideas! I’ve got ten different Christmas themed designs that will make your nails look awesome this holiday season… Click on each image or the link to get tips and a list of polishes and tools needed to create your own!
I’m always looking for inspiration, and I have had this MoYou London plate for ages, which has elements of Gustav Klimt’s artwork. The Art Nouveau artist was influenced by Byzantine artwork and mosaics, and his golden phase works are most familiar to me. I created this Klimt nail art based on the Portrait of Adele Bloch-Bauer I, which is one of his most famous.
Last weekend I went to London for two of the three days of Stylist Live. Unintentionally, I matched my nails to the show design at Olympia, with these Chevron Nails. I’ll share some images from the show, along with my nail art, so keep on reading and scrolling!
Something a bit different for you today! I was sent a pair of Wingz for review by Sarah, and I chose a lovely scalloped lace three-quarter length sleeve design. I created some nails to match of course – lace nail art inspired with Wingz!
If you haven’t seen Wingz before, they are essentially sleeves that you can add to an outfit to give your a little more warmth or coverage. This lace design has been great for me, particularly when the air con gets a bit too ferocious.
I’m still catching up on sleep after a busy few weeks, and whenever I’m short on time I turn to stamping to create detailed nail art designs quickly. For this Graffiti Hearts stamping nail art I was inspired by Miss Sock who did something similar over a watermarble base.
I was a bit stumped for a design to try this week, and then I remembered that I'd bought a new plate with butterfly wing outlines on it that was so far untried. I decided to recreate some Monarch Butterfly nail art using some orange holo polishes.
As part of my series inspired by semi-precious stones, I’ve been looking around for my next project. The photo (scroll down) really caught my eye, so I’m trying this Fire Obsidian nail art. It’s an experiment in progress so I think I’ll be coming back and trying this again.
