Double stamping inspired by Miss Sock on Instagram
I’m still catching up on sleep after a busy few weeks, and whenever I’m short on time I turn to stamping to create detailed nail art designs quickly. For this Graffiti Hearts stamping nail art I was inspired by Miss Sock who did something similar over a watermarble base.
Polishes and tools
Nailtiques Formula 2+
Cirque Colors Nolita Lolita
FAB UR NAILS Fun24
MoYou London Black Knight
Barry M Gold Foil
Rainbow Connection 2-in-1 Clear Crystal Embellished Stamper
Seche Vite
I let my nails soak in plenty of CND Rescue Rxx beforehand, and that with the Nailtiques has really helped the state of my nails. Nearly all the peeling has stopped, so hopefully I can get some length back again.
With that as my base, I used two coats of Nolita Lolita which I got in a mystery pack when Cirque rebranded their bottles. Despite smudging and then fixing it repeatedly, it looks fab. Just the right enough of blue in the base so it doesn’t look too saccharine for me.
In an effort not to mess it up any more I sat still for ages (mostly in indecision about what to do next) so I didn’t need my customary Seche Vite before stamping.
I used two stamping images from the same plate, but for the black I only used pieces of the image a bit randomly on my nail.
Clumsy strikes again
I also knocked over and spilled some acetone I’d been using for clean up; not much (like 3ml or so) but it was enough to wreck the case of my Sephora mini glass nail file.
The file normally lives in my handbag, but I’d taken it out while I was travelling. Derp. Also all over the handle of my Revlon clean up brush.
After cleaning up and finishing the black stamping, I used the heart outlines image over the top with a gold polish. Since my nails are quite small compared to the image at the moment, it was easy to vary the layout.
Clean up around my nails is next, followed by Seche Vite. After that’s set, I spent some time scrubbing my fingers which got stained by the carnage of the acetone spill earlier.
By the time I finished cleaning up and photographing this design, it was really late. It does look so good though, I don’t normally wear a lot of pink but I like this.

This looks very cute on my short nails, but the black stops it from looking too twee. I think the gold is a bit luxe over the rough stamped pattern too.
I am off to bed now, but I’d love to hear your clumsiness stories… Tell me I’m not alone! And of course, don’t forget to subscribe 🙂

Thank you so much! I really love them

It definitely looks cute! I am also guilty of knocking things all over when I’m doing nails, especially when my cats jump up on the desk to ‘help.’

That must be a nightmare! and the cat hair…I don’t even have any pets and I still manage to collect bits of fluff!

Lovely design! I love how it looks double stamping! Well, I spill the acetone almost everytime I do my nails, practically every day!

Brilliant! I’m not the only one then. I guess it was lucky it was such a tiny amount
