My latest design for Maniswap Circle really takes me back to when I did loads of freehand nail art. This Freehand Flowers and Lines design inspired by Sezies Nails (Sarah) is based on a dress, and was originally created in white, pink and black. I used the Maniswap prompt colours of brown, white and red to create a beautiful Valentine’s Day design.
I’m always looking for inspiration, and I have had this MoYou London plate for ages, which has elements of Gustav Klimt’s artwork. The Art Nouveau artist was influenced by Byzantine artwork and mosaics, and his golden phase works are most familiar to me. I definitely see marble backgrounds everywhere on social media, it seems to be the default for flatlays and beauty bloggers. After seeing Jamie of Tanned Beauty Addict, who showed off her great marble nails on Instagram, I wanted to try White Marble nail art for myself!
Fabiana set this art-inspired challenge on NailArtNation this week, and she definitely had me in mind! His artwork is a mixture of colour and monochrome pieces, and I loved the monochrome line work, which had an almost op-art quality about it. I’d like to present my Frank Stella nail art!
