I shared my old Lady Circuitry design as part of Throwback Thursday this week and it inspired me to revisit it. This is an easy nail stamping design and it looks very delicate.

This time I added a gradient to the base and used holographic polishes for the stamping. I also used a slightly different stamping design from the same plate as before.

Polishes and Tools:

Illamasqua Raindrops
Color Club Angel Kiss, Eternal Beauty, ‘Til The Record Stops and Feathered Hair Out To There
MoYou London Sci Fi 05

I started with a base of Raindrops, which is fairly sheer, so I needed two coats. I sponged a gradient over the top, using more Raindrops and two polishes from the Color Club Poptastic 2015 collection. I dotted the three polishes randomly over the sponge with slightly more grey than the pastel neons.  It took about two or three coats of sponging to get the effect I wanted.

To stamp the gradient of purple and green I added the polishes on one side of the image and scraped across at a couple of slightly different angles.  I find this blends the colours the best.

It’s subtle but I really like it. I think the holo will show up more in sunlight. I wish I’d taken a picture of the gradient before stamping, it looked like a grey pastel galaxy. I will have to do it again but add stars next time!

Lady Circuitry

I was originally inspired by Fleury Rose‘s design last year. I wanted to update it and add in some holographic elements which are in her design, but not my first attempt last year. I think I will come back to this again and again – it’s so elusive and pretty!
