Peacock Feathers
It was great fun recreating a design by Milena Pencheva. Freehand peacock feathers and dots – it’s been a while since I did any freehand and I really enjoyed this.
Tools and Polishes
Orly Pure Porcelain
Chanel Quartz, Azuré, Nouvelle Vague, Peridot and Bel-Argus
Dotting tools
Nail art brush (trimmed)
Orly Pure Porcelain is still my favourite nude shade – it isn’t too sheer and it’s cool-toned so it looks good alongside my skin. I used all my shimmery, duochrome metallics for this design, I wanted to capture the iridescence of peacock feathers on my nails.
I also used a light turquoise creme polish to create the ‘eye’ of the feather, again from Chanel.
I’m a bit annoyed that my dots went a bit wonky on my left hand though!!
Milena recreated one of my oldest designs, a butterfly wing. It looks so great!
