This design was part of the Maniswap Circle on Instagram, organised by glacewing (Angela) and natasha_dauncey (Natasha). I recreated noregrets4life_nails (Danielle) who did this Cyber Punk Samurai design. I was recreating it in cornflower blue to make Electric Punk Samurai. The Maniswap Circle specifies a colour each time to use.

I’m not sure why the white stamping looks so blue in the first photo, it didn’t at all in real life.

I think it looks much better here in the macro photo.

I didn’t have quite the same stamping plates as Danielle, so I had to improvise a bit. Although I have a plate with a similar design of a Japanese-style face, it wasn’t wide enough for two nails.

I think the script was a great compromise and stays perfectly with the theme.

I started with two coats of Bermuda Blue on all my nails, followed by a layer of top coat to smooth it out.

Next I stamped the two designs in white polish and waited for them to dry a bit before adding top coat to avoid smearing.

The glitter gradient at the tips was just achieved with the brush from the polish, which I mostly dabbed on.

Electric Punk Samurai 

I love this colour blue and this design really stood out to me from Danielle’s feed. It caught my eye straight away, so I just had to pick it.
