Silver Houndstooth nail art today – something very simple I wore to a job interview recently.

Stamping is a really quick and easy way to get a beautiful finish to a manicure.

Since my nails are so short right now, I used a MoYou London plate with smaller images. Sadly they weren’t quite wide enough for my thumb! If you are just starting out with nail stamping I can really recommend MoYou London as a brand for plates.  The images are well etched and I have never had an issue picking up an image.  I have a few packs of Bundle Monster plates which I get incredibly frustrated with because I can’t get the image to pick up on the stamper head 75% of the time.

The semi-matte top coat played down the metallic finish slightly so it wasn’t too in-your-face. I really wish this was still available (the whole brand for that matter!) but I think you could get the same effect adding a clear polish to a two-thirds full bottle of matte coat.  It gives a satiny sheen rather than a velvet effect, and looks particularly good with these metallic polishes.
