Ozotic 914: Holo obsession continues!
Sorry it’s been a while since the last blog… I’ve been super busy. Well, never too busy to paint my nails and take a couple of snaps, but I just haven’t gotten around to actually posting!
So, I’ve got a few posts lined up and first up is a new holo polish, which I could not resist trying straight away! Ozotic is a brand from Australia, who have some brilliant holo shades and I love seeing swatches despite how jealous they make me. I want rainbowy nails!
Ozotic 914 is a blue scatter holo – it doesn’t have any glitter, just tiny flecks of rainbow holo in a metallic mid blue base. The holo pieces are small, they look a bit like rainbow dust. The first coat looks a little sheer and streaks if you try to go over the same area wet, but once your second coat is down it’s opaque.
Anyway, it was girls night out and I didn’t have much time to get ready so I stuck with a simple stripe and embellished mani. All I used were some stick-on diamanté and a striping brush dipped in Essie Nothing Else Metals – a slightly lavender metallic that worked beautifully with the Ozotic.
Layered with Hard as Wraps and topped with Seche Vite, this mani actually lasted really well, and the diamanté are reusable despite being cleaned with acetone, so I was impressed at that (they were a complete nightmare to apply, but worth it).
Next up, neon stripe tape mani!
