I’m back with some new polishes – this time the Chanel Fall Winter 2017 Le Vernis collection, which features three colours. One is an old one, two new, and I’ve got all three swatches for you to check out!

Horizon Line

I’m going to start with my favourite, a grey of course! A beautiful, slightly sage green colour, this is a nicely opaque creme and covers easily in two coats. All my swatches are with a base of Nailtiques and Seche Vite top coat.

It’s a nice consistency and a lovely colour…what’s not to like!

Frenzy

This is an old colour, released in the new style bottle, with the slightly wider, softer brush. I have a very old and a more recent bottle of this. The one swatched the newer one for you today, but it still is in the old style bottle. I think this is about 2 years old, but unused until now (backup bottle!).

Frenzy is one of the few nude shades I have that doesn’t make my skin tone look horrible. It’s a cool, light beige, verging on a light caramel colour. I used three coats here, since the formula is slightly thinner than the new shades.

Despite the extra coat, it was a nice texture to work with, and dried quickly, because of the thin coats.

New Dawn

This is a pink-grey-mauve…it kind of defies description as a colour! I guess it’s Chanel’s version of millennial pink, but slightly greyed out, and slightly deeper than Pantone’s pale dogwood.

This was two coats, but although not quite as opaque as Horizon Line, two coats was perfect. I’d also say that it dries slightly darker than in the bottle.

This is a lovely creme polish, in a unique colour. Another winner!

Personally, I love that Chanel have released this set of cool-toned neutrals! Frenzy was the first nude shade from this brand that really works with my skin tone, and now there are two more to go alongside.

They will look great with autumn/winter outfits and all three are very “office-appropriate” (if you go for that sort of thing)!
