Emily de Molly Dark Citation

I love a flakie polish, so I had to swatch this one for you. It’s part of a trio, but I just have this one for you today: Emily de Molly Dark Citation. 

It’s moody and beautiful!

Formula

This is two coats and top coat. When the first coat goes down, it is a little streaky and pulls itself off if you go over the same spot.

It’s tempting to do thicker coats to make up for this, but I find I get less visible flakies and glitter as a result. So I recommend persisting with thin coats.

The second coat goes down much easier, I promise! Thin coats also show the purple colour better, because I think that thicker coats will make it appear very dark.

This polish is a purple jelly, with small holographic glitters and lots of flakies which show up predominantly green. You can see them really well in my bottle shot above.

There are plenty of flakies and glitter, so I didn’t need to fish around to get them out of the bottle.

This macro photo shows the glitters better than the flakies in my opinion. You can also see how my thin coats give a bit more depth than two thicker ones.

I need to figure out better lighting for my macros, they are always so dark!

Another bottle shot, and this time I found my Big Bling Stamper makes a great pedestal! The crystals reflect so much light it looks like the bottle is stood on a light bulb.
