The latest prompt on Nail Art Nation is Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream! I picked a favourite flavour and took inspiration from the packaging design.

I started with a base of Barry M Blueberry Ice Cream. In hindsight it was unnecessary but I thought the name was appropriate! I followed that up with two coats of a blue thermal polish from Mood Maker. It doesn’t have a name but is a light sky blue when warm and a darker blue when cold.

There isn’t a real transition between the colours here, but they are certainly at the colder end of the spectrum.

Next I added some white clouds using vinyls from She Sells Sea Shells and sponged over Snow Me White from Sinful Colors.  The sponging gives a better fluffy, nebulous quality to the clouds in my opinion. They don’t all look identical which I really like.

After that I added decals made using MoYou London Sailor 05, Barry M Gelly Cocoa and AEngland The Blessed Damozel.

This is the point it all went horribly wrong. The Cocoa stamps were too sheer and it all just looks a bit weird! I ended up just leaving the cloud design on my left hand as pictured to admire the thermal transitions. I tried not to look at my left hand too much!
