After my woeful attempt at watermarbling with my pastel neons (you can click on that if you want to feel better about your own skills) I decided that I needed some neon polishes that were suitable for the job. I shopped around, and with the able assistance of my US-based polish mule, I got my digits on the Fun Days and Neon Craze collection from In The Name of Polish. I had to start with a Neon Watermarble Starburst to test them out.
One of the best things about summer in the UK is that, occasionally, you get brilliant sunshine. It doesn’t happen often, but when it does it’s the right time to bring out your holo polishes. Well, in my opinion it’s always the right time for holo, but don’t miss out seeing these polishes in actual bright, direct, natural light. The fortnightly challenge is run by Angela and Natasha on Instagram. This time I was recreating Andrea’s plaid design. I know she didn’t like it that much, but the fox is so cute! It was based on a Kate Spade design, and I think it is perfect for Maniswap Circle in Lilac. Read More
After my semi-fail of a pastel neon watermarble, I couldn’t face trying to achieve anything half-decent on my right hand. I had to wear this for a couple of days, so I used the same polishes plus some holo top coat to create this blurry, Pastel Rainbow effect. Read More
This week’s prompt on Nail Art Nation was waterfall nails. Fabiana did a great design on a beige base which you can find here. I always like to be a bit different, so I decided to start with a black base and create some Holographic Waterfall Nail Art. Read More
Today is the final day of July’s Watermarble Practice Wednesday challenge, and I had to create a seaside inspired design. My Beach Watermarble Nail Art uses waterspotting to imitate waves crashing on to a beach. Read More
Since I’ve joined apolishedcolleen’s July Watermarble challenge, there was no way I could avoid a neon design. Since we’ve already established I don’t have any true neon polishes that cooperate, I decided to try a Pastel Neon Watermarble. Read More
The challenge on Nail Art Nation this week is here! I’ve tried this technique just once before, so I decided to keep it simple with some monochrome Drag Marble nail art. Read More
